Itinerary
Day 1
Depart via deluxe motorcoach and head for our beautiful capital on the Potomac River. Enjoy 3 nights at the HILTON GARDEN INN ARLINGTON. Welcome dinner marks our arrival...
Day 2
Meet our local guide for a CITY TOUR OF DC to see the famous memorials...highlighting the new Eisenhower Memorial, Vietnam & Korean War Memorials, FDR, WWI Memorial, World War II Memorial and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial… a must see! Free time this afternoon at SMITHSONIAN to visit the many world-famous museums… appropriately nicknamed America’s Attic. Dinner tonight before we wrap up today’s events with our traditional WASHINGTON-BY-NIGHT tour of the beautifully illuminated monuments.
Day 3
This morning take a GUIDED BEHIND-THE-SCENES TOUR OF THE KENNEDY CENTER. Experience the rich cultural tapestry of the Kennedy Center with our guided tour, delving into the history, architecture, and artistic legacy of this iconic performing arts venue. Explore renowned theaters, captivating exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes insights into the world of live entertainment. Enjoy a BOX LUNCH in the Café following our tour. This afternoon visit the UNITED STATES HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MUSEUM*. The museum serves as a living memorial to the Holocaust, one of the worst tragedies the world has ever seen. Return to the hotel to relax before departing for the NATIONAL HARBOR tonight to enjoy dinner on your own. The National Harbor is set directly on the Potomac River and the Waterfront District has a variety of restaurants and shops to choose from.
Day 4
We arrive at ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY...America’s largest national burial ground. Hop aboard the tour mobile to see the grounds with stops at the grave of JFK and his brothers, Robert & Ted, and the Tomb of the Unknowns. Head towards home with great memories of our 4 day weekend in DC!
