Day 1
We head north to Canada for the Ottawa Tulip Festival to experience the world’s largest public Tulip Festival. Spend 3 nights at the DOUBLETREE BY HILTON OTTAWA DOWNTOWN, located within walking distance to Byward Market and the CF Rideau Shopping Centre, indoor pool, fitness center, restaurant and bar. Welcome dinner marks our arrival.
Day 2
Join our local guide for a GUIDED RIDING CITY TOUR and experience the charm, history, and beauty of Canada’s capital highlighting views of Parliament Hill, Rideau Falls and the National War Museum and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This afternoon explore the breathtaking CANADIAN TULIP FESTIVAL at Commissioners Park at your leisure. Wander through vibrant displays featuring thousands of colorful tulips set against the beautiful backdrop of Dow’s Lake. Browse the festival exhibits, local food vendors, shop for unique gifts and souvenirs or simply soak in the beauty of Canada’s most celebrated spring traditions. Evening at leisure tonight to enjoy BYWARD MARKET for dinner on own at one of the local restaurants, browse unique boutiques at one of Canada’s oldest and most popular market districts. Don’t miss the chance to treat yourself to a famous BeaverTail pastry, a delicious Canadian favorite and a must-try Ottawa tradition.
Day 3
Go behind the scenes at the home of the world-famous ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE STABLE TOUR and discover the rich history and traditions of Canada's iconic national police force. Tour the stables and learn about the specialized training of riders and horses, and gain a unique glimpse into the preparation behind this celebrated Canadian tradition. Discover Canada's rich and diverse heritage with a visit to the CANADIAN MUSEUM OF HISTORY. Begin with an informative guided overview tour highlighting the museum's remarkable exhibits and architecture, then enjoy free time to explore the galleries at your own pace, including fascinating displays of Canada's history, Indigenous cultures, and world-renowned collections. We head for home with memories of Ottawa and our time tiptoeing thru the tulips.
