Day 1
Depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach for Jamestown, NY, Lucille Ball’s hometown. 3 nights at the CHAUTAUQUA HARBOR HOTEL. Located in a beautiful and quaint lakefront community on the shores of historic Lake Chautauqua, featuring beautifully appointed spacious guestrooms with wood floors and luxurious bedding, nightly turn down service, complimentary morning coffee /tea bar on every floor, fitness center, indoor & outdoor swimming pools, restaurant & lounge. Dinner in our hotel tonight.
Day 2
Experience the legacy of Lucille Ball in her hometown of Jamestown, NY. See the home she was born in, the house she grew up in and the cemetery where she and her family rests on our LUCY TOWN TOUR. Explore the LUCILLE BALL DESI ARNAZ MUSEUM AND DESILU STUDIOS celebrating the 75th anniversary of the debut of the “I Love Lucy Show”, get an inside look at the couple’s personal life and see the sets and costumes worn in the show. Visit the NATIONAL COMEDY CENTER, the first state of the art museum dedicated to telling the vital story of comedy in America. More than 50 immersive exhibits take you on an interactive journey through comedy history, from early vaudeville acts to the latest comedy. Dinner tonight in the TROPICANA ROOM, a recreation of the nightclub that Ricky Ricardo owned on I Love Lucy.
Day 3
We’ll begin with a guided bus tour of the historic CHAUTAUQUA INSTITUTION, a charming lakeside community known for its rich blend of culture, education, art, and spirituality. With a knowledgeable step-on guide, you’ll explore beautiful Victorian homes, scenic gardens, and iconic venues while hearing stories of famous past visitors and the Institution’s remarkable history. Cruise on stunning Chautauqua Lake aboard the historic CHAUTAUQUA BELLE paddlewheel steamboat, an experience that’s truly unforgettable. Enjoy the summer breeze, picturesque scenery and summer BBQ lunch. Visit the GRAPE DISCOVERY CENTER to explore the rich history of grape growing in the region, enjoy wine tastings, and browse the grape-themed gift shop. During your visit, enjoy a culinary presentation with Brick Village Gourmet’s Chef Tim Murphy featuring samples, recipes, and delicious products to take home. Farewell Picnic at the Pavilion with hamburgers and hot dogs and a local band playing, getting you up and dancing!
