Itinerary
Day 1
Depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach as we head west to Williamsport, PA nestled in the Appalachian Mountains and along the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. We arrive to meet our local guide for a tour of MILLIONAIRE’S ROW. Learn about the lumber barons of the Victorian era who built their homes here and their rise and fall. 2 nights accommodations at the HOLIDAY INN WILLIAMSPORT featuring a restaurant, indoor pool and fitness center. Welcome buffet dinner tonight at the CARRIAGE HOUSE by CHEF HOSCH.
Day 2
This morning we head north to Wellsboro to explore the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on our OLE COVERED WAGON TOUR. Board horse-drawn covered wagons to ride along the Pine Creek Rail Trail, and listen to our tour guide tell the tale of history of the Canyon going back to the 19th Century. After the ride enjoy a COWBOY BUFFET COOKOUT with pulled pork, grilled chicken, baked beans and potatoes. Return to our hotel late this afternoon to relax before our farewell dinner at the PETER HERDIC HOUSE located in a historic mansion on Millionaire’s Row.
Day 3
We begin with a visit to the THOMAS T. TABER MUSEUM. This unique attraction allows you to explore the history of the area from American Indian occupation through 21st century industry and life. Exhibits include American Indian gallery, a Fine and Decorative Arts gallery, the Shempp Model Train exhibit with over 300 toy trains and more. Finally, enjoy a buffet lunch aboard the HIAWATHA PADDLEWHEEL RIVERBOAT as we cruise on the picturesque Susquehanna River.
