Itinerary
Day 1
We depart aboard our deluxe motorcoach on a Historic Journey through the Birthplace of the American Revolution as we celebrate our nation’s 250th Birthday in Boston. We embark on a GUIDED DRIVING COLONIAL BOSTON HISTORIC TOUR. Our local guide will share fascinating stories with us as we drive through the Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Boston Common and more. 2 nights accommodations at the HYATT REGENCY CAMBRIDGE, which sits on the banks of the Charles River and offers beautiful views of the Boston skyline. Dinner tonight at the CHART HOUSE RESTAURANT - built in 1763 it is the oldest building on Long Wharf and is known as the former home of John Hancock’s “Counting House.”
Day 2
This morning we board our BOSTON HARBOR CRUISE SHIP for a historic 4TH OF JULY LUNCH CRUISE. View the USS CONSTITUTION’S MAJESTIC TURNAROUND and experience a 21 GUN SALUTE when she reaches Fort Independence on Castle Island. This afternoon visit the JFK LIBRARY AND MUSEUM capturing the powerful story of President Kennedy’s life, leadership and legacy. Return to our hotel for dinner on your own. Unforgettable experience: Watch the BOSTON FIREWORK’S SPECTACULAR viewed from the comfort of our hotel as they are set off over the Charles River. Important: Bring your lawn chairs from home to use while you sit out front of the hotel for viewing.
Day 3
Board our coach this morning for a narrated DRIVING TOUR OF HARVARD UNIVERSITY AND CAMBRIDGE, the unique town that is home to the college. Visit the CHARLESTOWN NAVY YARD where you will see the USS Constitution “Old Ironsides”. Self-guided tours are available of the USS Cassin Young, a World War II Navy destroyer and the Constitution Visitor’s Center. Enjoy lunch on own at QUINCY MARKET before we head home with memories of our celebration of America’s Birthday.
